Aspiring Financial Analyst

My name is Brandy Suarez, and I am a work-study assistant at Roger Williams University’s Financial Aid Office. I’m also a Student Fund Manager at RWU’s Center for Advanced Financial Education, known as the CAFE program. I was born in Providence, Rhode Island, but raised in Naples, Florida. During high school, I returned to Rhode Island to pursue my undergrad education at RWU, where I’m majoring in Finance with a minor in Spanish. My passion in the workplace include wealth management, as well as investment strategies. My long-term goal is to become a portfolio manager after gaining experience as an analyst— a dream inspired by my transformative experience in the CAFE program and my 4 years at RWU. My personal philosophy is to provide for my mother, who raised me on her own and made it possible for me to attend the college of my dreams. Keeping that in mind, I strive to make the most out of every opportunity I am given. In addition to my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy acrylic painting in my free time and take elective courses at RWU to enhance my artistic skills. As a bilingual Spanish speaker, I aim to help my community by volunteering at local high schools to help students with completing their FASFA applications. I make sure to bring my strong analytical/financial and communication skills, along with a dedicated work ethic, to everything I do.
